LEAVING LAS VEGAS (1995) --Mike M., submitter

Synopsis:

Nicolas Cage and Elisabeth Shue are utterly and dejectedly convincing as they eerily support each other while movie executive Cage proceeds to methodically drink himself to death.  Hooker Shue lets him.  Few light moments in this downward spiral, but plenty of power in the story and juice in the acting.  It’s horrifying to watch them sink further and further down, but you can’t stop watching.
