PERMANENT MIDNIGHT (1998) –Ben G, submitter

Synopsis:

Based on a true (and familiar) story.  High-flying screenwriter finds heroin, gets heroin, and they live unhappily and joylessly for a time before he loses heroin.  Compelling performance by Stiller, and a reminder that rehab may have a chance of working.
