Synopsis: An 18-year-old girl is enough past the point of childhood acceptance of her alcoholic and abandoning mother and their trailer-park existence to realize that her family life is by no means normal. Her need for what she perceives as usual for other people drives her to single-mindedly pursue the trappings of a “normal” life. One look at what alcoholics’ behavior impels other people to do, and peripheral to addiction in that sense.
