Brown Gravy

A vegan brown gravy to pour over mashed potatoes (or anything else that needs a brown gravy), straight from Alceon's recipe file.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of water
  • 3 tablespoons whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast*
  • 1 vegetable bouillon cube

Mix the flour and nutritional yeast with 1/2 cup of the water until smooth. Then add the rest of the ingredients and cook over low heat in a small saucepan, stirring constantly until everything thickens. Allow to cook for a few minutes longer to thoroughly blend the flavors.
