The Sober Cafe's original "owner" was Marianne Hoffman. She gathered recipes of her own and added many more from other LifeRing members. She then organized the various sections of the site.  Unfortunately, she met an untimely death in 1999, before the site was finished.

Patty G. came to the rescue,  but was later forced to give up the project due to personal matters that required her full attention.

My name is Alceon, and I've offered to take over all duties as Cafe Manager. I've redesigned the "look" of the Cafe, but the contents have not been changed, except to add a few of my own recipes on the Vegetarian page and a recipe index to make it easier to find a specific recipe if you can't remember which section it was in. 

 My pursuit of health in sobriety has led me to a great interest in nutrition and healthy eating. I don't have any official knowledge of nutrition and I'm not a dietician, but I love to cook, read books and research nutrition on the web.
