If you are a LifeRing participant, convenor, friend,
or just curious what it's all about, you're invited to the seventh annual LifeRing Recovery Congress, taking
place this year on the last weekend of May in Berkeley California.
The annual LifeRing Congress is a blend of socializing, education, and
organizational self-government. The Friday evening reception and
the Saturday evening banquet, along with numerous breaks during the day,
provide an opportunity to make new friends and keep the old. The
Saturday daytime program introduces cutting-edge educational material
from the recovery world and is a forum for you to share your recovery
experiences with others from around the country. Sunday morning's
Delegates Assembly is our organizational business meeting, where we hear
reports, discuss and decide policy issues, and hold elections for the
LifeRing Board of Directors.
This year, the Board of Directors has taken a radical step and made the
entire Saturday daytime educational presentations FREE. (We
charged admission in the past.) You only pay for the Saturday
evening banquet. You can reserve your seat online in the form
below.
Our keynote guest speaker this year follows in the footsteps of the
outstanding presenters that LifeRing Congress participants have enjoyed
in the past: Charlotte Kasl, Doug Althauser, William L. White,
Lonny Shavelson, Catherine Trestrail, Steve Bentley. He is Dr.
B.J. Davis, Psy.D., Clinical Director of
Strategies for Change, one of
the largest outpatient treatment programs in the California State
Capitol. Dr. Davis is a deeply informed, powerfully caring and
charismatic presenter. You will come away from his talk both
educated and energized. Don't miss it.
