The LifeRing Secular Recovery Board of Directors met, online, this date.
Meeting opened with brief report from Marty. The subject was the LSR chat groups. Marty proposed that the BoD appoint a “Chat Coordinator” to manage the growing online chat presence that LSR is developing. Marty described the additional need for the coordinator to handle inquiries and provide support to the people acting as chat hosts. He recommended Kathleen O’Neill for the position, and had spoken to her about this. Kathleen declined and suggested that Marty contact Glo Mills and see if she was interested in the job. Glo was contacted and agreed to serve.
After a brief discussion, the member reached the consensus that a “Chat Coordinator” was needed. Marty asked for vote on Glo to fill the position.
Glo’s name for Chat Coordinator was brought to a vote. Robert formally nominated Glo, Marjorie seconded the nomination. The Board members voted unanimously to appoint Glo Mills to the position of Chat Coordinator.
A discussion followed regarding Diane Jeanette with the suggestion that she be contacted to head up an “Author’s Chat” beginning later this year. The board members informally agreed that this was a good thing to do. No further action was taken.
A motion was made and seconded for adjournment. The vote to adjourn was unanimous. No date was set for the next LSR Board of Directors meeting.
