Ragged Cause

Not drowned in dreams

Beneath an aqua wash of roiling seas,

Some cause rests upon a limestone rock

As though scuttling were a waste of brush strokes

A small excuse transfigured into a ragged torpor of ether.

Awake to manners of grass and tree's moss,

Moist after the passages of fine rain,

Sobriety a dappled forest.
