Think and Grow Poor

I knew when I took this job
That I could never show up for work.
So I haven't, but nobody has missed me.
They seem happy with the shapes I assumed.

But even after years of self-help,
I have acquired none of the seven habits.
I am like old modeling clay.
You can't bend me without cracks appearing.
This is my tilt, my squint, my form.

World: Will you please stop chiseling?

~Richard C.
